Instagram... a space where you can scroll endlessly and mindlessly and before you know it, you've lost 3 hours of your life! BUT fear not because we've found 9 kickass women on Instagram who will inspire and motivate you!
READ THIS: The other day I scrolled across a tweet that said “Don’t let the internet rush you. No one is posting their failures.” This has been on my mind a lot lately - & by a lot I mean probably too much. Here are my thoughts if you care to read: We basically live in a world of instant everything nowadays. The only problem is that hard work, dedication and growth have never and will never be instant. When you’re in the thick of the real work whether it’s personal or professional, it’s easy to feel like you’re falling behind. Truthfully, I fall prey to comparison from time-to-time, along with many others I believe & the scary thing is most of the time I don’t even realize it until I’m on the verge of a meltdown because I feel like I’m 100 lightyears behind everyone else. It’s like I’ve had my head down grinding only to look up and feel as though everyone has some how passed me up. There are some people on the internet who are completely on fire, elevating, inspiring, advocating, succeeding at their careers, painfully honest and just real. Then there are those people who make decisions in their lives based on how it will look for the internet - bragging about material things and doing the bare minimum to keep up an act - sometimes it’s as obvious as a load of fake followers but unfortunately, other times it can be hard to tell the difference between the two. Either way, the content that we consume has such an impact on our lives...real or fake. I write all of this not to sound like I have a chip on my shoulder but to bring up the word WHY. Why do you wake up every morning and do what you do? Is there a purpose behind it that will keep you hustling even when no one is looking or is it for accolades and acceptance? If it is with purpose and intention, never forget that success and happiness comes from hard work, dedication and growth. Don’t let the internet rush you. Everyone has a purpose and intention behind what they do. If there is real passion behind it, the moment will come when the hard work will have the chance to shine brighter than luck or anything that could ever be thrown together overnight. #fittolive #foodforthought #dontbefake #workyourassoff
